Founding Members

Dia Austin is a family physician from rural Saskatchewan who completed her family medicine residency in Terrace, BC. Her initial trip to Zimbabwe was in medical school with a program through the University of Saskatchewan in 2012. She returned as a resident in 2016 with a group from the  University of British Columbia. Since then she has returned as an attending physician in 2017 and 2018. Her international clinical work is currently on pause as she runs around trying to keep up with her two young children. Dia looks forward to returning to Zimbabwe once her girls are a bit older. In the meantime, she enjoys working with the group from the sidelines.
